Burn Out

One Physician's Experience on Burn Out

I initially started working with Murray three years ago with the goal of improving my self-confidence and assertiveness as a relatively new staff physician. What I have developed is a set of tools to help me not only survive but thrive in this role and others. I have successfully navigated many life changes since starting my coaching sessions with Murray, including balancing motherhood, medicine and pursuing further education. For me coaching has truly been a practice of personal growth that I reflect on frequently when faced with challenging situations. I still meet with Murray when I need a "tune up" and some help navigating the road ahead. I truly value his skills and perspective as a fellow physician and I would (and have) recommend him to any colleague.

Murray is a pleasant, engaging, and brilliant coach. In particular, his former experience as a physician makes him particularly well suited to coaching medical professionals such as myself. When I moved to Toronto and a new employer, Murray was an integral part of my transition plan. He helped me lay out my short- and long-term goals and consistently helped me stay on track. He provided numerous tools to facilitate my ongoing growth and was one of my biggest champions in obtaining success. Although I "graduated" from coaching, were I to need such support again, I would return to Murray without hesitation.
